今天PPG宣布将投资万美元（万人民币）在昆山工厂设立全新自动化调色系统。该系统预计将于年1月开始运行，可提高工厂生产灵活性及生产效率，并将有助于大幅降低成本、缩短交期，同时降低排放。

“昆山工厂负责为我们在中国的客户提供本土化的工业防护及船舶涂料供应支持。此次投资将有助于我们为工业防护领域客户提供定制化的快速响应以满足他们的需求。全新的自动化调色系统在短短几分钟内即可实现按照要求的数量和质量生产防护涂料。该系统以封闭工艺进行生产，以达到环境绩效的最大化。”PPG工业防护及船舶涂料亚太区副总裁MikeHorton表示。

PPG昆山工厂主要生产工业防护及船舶涂料。工厂内还设有PPG亚洲研发中心，是公司在区域内的一个重要研发中心。PPG昆山工厂拥有ISO、ISO和OHSAS认证，其中防火涂料研发中心已通过中国3C认证和美国保险商试验所（UL）目击测试实验室认证（WTDP）。
